About Our Biryani

Biryani is a celebrated North Indian rice dish and a signature specialty at Petu Indian Curry & Kabab. Our authentic recipe begins with premium aged basmati rice, known for its exceptional length and fragrance. The rice is carefully layered with marinated meat (chicken, lamb, or goat) or vegetables that have been cooked with aromatic spices including cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves, and star anise. Each layer is infused with saffron-soaked milk, fried onions, and fresh herbs. The entire dish is then slow-cooked in a sealed pot (dum method), allowing the flavors to meld together and the rice to absorb all the aromatic essences.

What makes our Biryani exceptional is the traditional dum cooking technique and the careful balance of spices. Each grain of rice remains separate yet perfectly infused with flavor, while the meat or vegetables are tender and succulent.
